A Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) must monitor and manage Linux processes. They must further configure and secure OpenSSH services and archive and copy files between systems. They also play an active role in controlling services and daemons, and they must manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux Networking along with analyzing and storing logs.Technicians should be able to perform user and group administration and be able to integrate a workstation within an existing network as well as organize a workstation as a client with NIS, DNS and DHCP services. They further must know how to automate tasks with at, cron, and anacron.Technicians must schedule future Linux tasks. They must manage the priority of Linux processes. Certified technicians connect network-defined users and groups. They must be able to add disks, partitions and file systems to the Linux System. Technicians further must control access to files with Access Control Lists (ACL’s), and they must manage SELinux Security.
